• Single Window: To capture just the active window you’re working in, press Alt + Prtscn . Again, you can paste this copied screenshot into another program.

• Windows 10 & Later: Use the Snip & Sketch tool by pressing Shift + Windows + S This dims the screen and allows you to select the area you want to capture. The captured area is then copied to your clipboard.
• Windows 7 / Windows8.1: Use the Snipping Tool You can find it by searching in the Start Menu. It allows you to select various types of snips (full screen, rectangular, free-form, or window snip).
